left917 is the High Country's independent read: local news, music, culture, and what's on, all in one place. No app, no login, no ads. And we're writing our own stuff now, not just rounding up everyone else's. Putting on an event? Share your calendar and we'll keep it on the air. Saw a flyer for something that isn't here? Thu, Oct. 1. The Haint List is up, with art by Birdie. It's every Halloween thing we could find in the High Country, from Tweetsie's Ghost Train to a Rockabilly Old-Time Halloween Concert in Lansing, and it keeps growing through Oct. 31. Tell us what we missed. October has five Saturdays, Halloween lands on one of them, and the clocks fall back that night, so you get an extra hour. Doesn't line up like this again for eleven years.
