High Country Honey Festival
A full day of honey at the Ashe County Agriculture Campus, rain or shine, with 100+ vendors inside the new Agriculture Expo Center selling honey goods, arts, and crafts. Producers from around the state compete for cash prizes in a judged honey contest that anyone can enter, and the first North Carolina Honey Queen in nearly 50 years gets crowned, along with a $5,000 college scholarship. Three bands play bluegrass and mountain music through the day, 12+ food trucks keep everyone fed, and a free tasting bar pours honey from across the state and around the world. Bring a lawn chair.
