The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for portions of northeast Georgia and western North Carolina counties including Avery, Buncombe, Burke, and Caldwell in effect until October 11 at 2:00PM EDT. The watch is in place due to the possibility of flash flooding from excessive rainfall.
