The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for portions of northeast Georgia, western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina through 8 a.m. on October 11. East winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected, with a few locations potentially seeing brief gusts to 45 mph.
