The myth came down the mountain.
The team that is — as one user on r/CFB put it — “less of a football team [and] more of a myth that sometimes comes screaming down the mountains and gives you a heart attack” did indeed come screaming down the mountain last night to defeat James Madison and hand them their first loss of the season.
JMU came into the game 7-0, scoring 43 points a game. Over the course of the game, they outgained App State 423 to 366. App State ran for 81 yards on 31 carries at 2.6 yards a carry and didn’t score a rushing touchdown.
App won.
