Home prices in Ashe County fell 24 percent from the previous month, while Watauga County dominated the region's real estate market in July with the highest median home price at $657,500, well above the four-county average of $470,000. Watauga County accounted for 96 of the 209 single-family home sales across the High Country during that period.
