An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will begin removing a 70-year-old bridge on N.C. 105 in Watauga County starting Monday, Sept. 14, with nightly operations continuing until the structure is gone. Motorists can expect increased construction activity in the area once work begins around 7 p.m.
