Grandfather Mountain euthanized Yonahlossee, a 27-year-old black bear known as Yonnie, on Wednesday due to advanced age-related complications including severe arthritis that impaired her mobility. The bear had been part of the nature park operated by the Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation.
