The Rev. Jonathan C. Chesney has been named rector of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Valle Crucis, a position he views as a homecoming rather than a new assignment. Chesney, who was born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, has long been interested in parish ministry.
