The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the area starting August 2 at 10:28 p.m. and continuing until August 3 at 2:45 a.m. Thunderstorms were producing heavy rain with 2.5 to 3.5 inches of rainfall reported, with flash flooding occurring or expected to develop.
