Sheriff’s Office Warns of New Jury Duty Phone Scam Targeting Watauga County Residents

The Watauga County Sheriff's Office is alerting residents to a phone scam in which callers falsely claim the recipient missed federal jury duty. According to the sheriff's office, the scammers use names similar to those of current or former WCSO staff members.
