Gov. Josh Stein and the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services announced $1.25 million in federal funding for school-based health centers through the North Carolina Rural Health Transformation Program. The money will support preventive and acute health care, nutrition support and behavioral health services at participating centers, including one operated by the Appalachian District Health Department.
