Joyce Borchert started Second Chance Flower Ministry in 2019 to take flowers headed for the trash and deliver them to the people who actually keep things running here, firefighters, teachers, nurses, the ones who show up. The Governor's office noticed in 2022. A small thing that moves through Ashe County on purpose. If you work in service and get flowers at your door, now you know who sent them.
