A Newland man charged in an Aug. 19 crash that killed two Milligan University cycling team members was denied bond reinstatement during a hearing in Carter County, Tennessee. John Benfield also faces new charges in connection with the fatal incident, according to the ruling by Judge Keith Bowers.
