Tuesday is trivia night. Town Tavern in Banner Elk starts at 6, then Boone splits three ways at 7 between Rivers Street Ale House, New River Brewing and the Goofy Foot Taproom on King Street. Not a quiz person? Charleston rockers Congress The Band play AMB at 6, and Jay Brown plays live under the films for Silent Movie Day at the Appalachian Theatre.
Watauga's Board of Elections reviews the first returned mail-in ballots tonight at 5. Each one gets a vote to accept, reject, or ask the voter for more, and the meeting is open to anyone. Ground floor of the courthouse, right of the metal detector. The meeting.
