Foster-Tyson Park in Jefferson has received a $235,175 grant from the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund to develop it as a trailhead for the Northern Peaks State Trail. The Blue Ridge Conservancy and the Town of Jefferson announced the award for the park, which is located on East Main Street east of downtown Jefferson.
