Avery County High School crowned its 2026 homecoming court at halftime of Friday night's football game between Madison and Avery at MacDonald Stadium in Newland. Senior Alstin Gwyn was named Homecoming King and senior Caitlyn Shapiro was named Homecoming Queen.
