An eighth grader from Blowing Rock School won the Watauga County Schools spelling bee on Oct. 16 at the Margaret Gragg Education Center in Boone by correctly spelling "solidarity" in the 11th round. Audrey Bovenzi secured the district-wide victory in the competition.
