Blue Ridge Energy provided scholarships for two Watauga County middle school students to attend basketball camps at UNC and NC State this summer through a Cooperative All-Stars Sports Camp Scholarship program. One of the students, Kenlea Brown from Mabel Elementary School, was among those who participated in the camps.
