The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Ashe and Watauga Counties in North Carolina, with east winds of 15 to 25 mph expected and gusts up to 45 to 50 mph, including isolated gusts up to 60 mph along ridge lines above 3,500 feet elevation.
