Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, and polls are open 6:30am to 7:30pm at your assigned precinct. How to vote.
On-campus voting is an argument elsewhere this fall. In Guilford County, the board voted 4-1 in July for an early-voting plan with no sites at N.C. A&T or UNC Greensboro. Each had one in 2024, when they drew 6,487 and 6,800 early voters. The board says a new downtown site serves students, and Guilford had no campus sites in the 2022 midterm either.
Indivisible High Country's Donna Lisenby argues in her op-ed that the State Board's Republican majority has cut early-voting access. On the first day, more than 100 A&T and UNCG students marched about 45 minutes to the nearest site.
