The Todd Promenade turns Todd into a dance floor today. Phil Jamison teaches dance calling from 1 to 5pm at the Todd Mercantile and Blackburns' Chapel, no experience needed, and everyone dances together at 7pm. A potluck comes first at 5:30. 9am Daffodil Planting Day in Todd, 2,600 bulbs.
10am Heroes Day Tailgate at the McKinney Alumni Center, for the App State community. No tickets, just drop by.
11am Ashe County Veterans Ceremony at the Museum of Ashe County History.
Noon Rocky's Groovy Poets Party at the Todd Mercantile, free. Local writers read, and there are door prizes.
1pm Dance calling in Todd, above. Bring a coat to the afternoon session.
2:30pm App State vs. Georgia State for Heroes Day at Kidd Brewer Stadium, on ESPN+.
7pm Winterteeth at Betsy's Barn in Todd, or a Contra Dance at the Legion Hall in Blowing Rock. The Contra Dance has a 6:30 workshop and no partner is needed.
7pm SHAM Album Release Show at Huzzah Books. Rodeo Walrus opens, with Aaavey Tttare, Chajbo, and The Powers Ensemble. Tickets at the door, come early for a seat.
