♥ Why this matters

A Watauga High School junior is running the Happy Earth Project, which is pushing past the usual environmental talk and trying to get actual people, not just students, but the community, to feel connected to the mountains around here and act on that connection instead of just talking about it. The mountains are under pressure. The difference between knowing that abstractly and caring enough to do something about it is everything, and that is what this junior is after.
