Boone BOO!
Boone BOO! is today, 4 to 6:30pm. King, Depot and Howard close around 3:55pm until 7pm. Meters on King end at 2pm, and any car left on the closed blocks can't move until the street reopens. Closures, parking and the lineup.

Voting
Last chance to vote early. Sites close at 3pm, after which you're just on time. Same-day registration ends with them. 23,869 of you already have, and the Student Union alone took 4,498, more than all of Avery County (2,837), which is what a polling place in the Student Union will do. Friday was the first single day registered Republicans outvoted registered Democrats in Watauga, 30% to 24%, though unaffiliated voters, at 45%, beat them both again. Party is registration. Clocks
Clocks fall back at 2am tonight, so Halloween runs an hour longer. Tomorrow the sun clocks out at 5:30.
